About this block

Holiday Return Window puts the extended gift season on one line, three dates in a divided stat rail, the window opening on November 1, the last covered order on December 24, and the return deadline on January 31, each with a sentence on what the date actually governs. Under the rail sit the gift mechanics, recipients return with just an order number, refunds land quietly as store credit, and the longer of the two windows always applies.

The three dates are one array. The block exists so a November gift buyer never has to wonder whether the December giver left them stranded.

When to use

Reach for this block on the returns center through the holiday season, and link it from order confirmation emails on qualifying orders. The three dates roll forward every year, so keep them driven by data rather than typed in by hand.

What you can display

One strong use is the gift season deadline. Other window blocks:

• Standard window. The everyday sixty day count, shown for contrast beside the holiday one.
• Member extension. The longer window that ships with a membership.
• Regional deadlines. Separate dates where local law sets a different floor.

Tip: the longer window always wins is the trust line, promise the better of the two and never make the buyer do the date math.
