About this block

Simple Centered is a slim full-width bar that sits at the top of a page. Inside a centered container, a single line of text runs across the full width with its anchor link bolded and underlined on hover. On smaller screens the supplementary detail text is hidden, leaving only the core linked label so the bar stays tidy on mobile.

There are no icons, badges, or dismiss controls. The text, the link destination, and the supplementary copy that appears on wider screens are all independent, so you can swap in any short notice without touching the layout.

When to use

Reach for this block when you need a quiet, persistent notice at the top of every page and you do not want to interrupt the layout below. It is well suited to a project management workspace announcing a new release, a maintenance window, or a policy update where the message matters but urgency is low. Unlike the With Action variant it carries no button, which keeps it unobtrusive for notices that inform rather than prompt.

A natural flow around it on a Marketing (Legacy) page:

Before

• A Hero Section to anchor the page immediately below the bar

After

• A Feature Section to expand on whatever the banner links to
• A CTA Section to convert interest generated by the announcement

What you can display

A short notice that benefits from a direct link to learn more:

• A product update. Link to a changelog or release post so readers can get the full details in one click.
• A workspace notice. Communicate scheduled downtime or a policy change across every page without disrupting the content below.
• A new feature teaser. Point visitors to a dedicated feature page so the bar doubles as quiet ongoing promotion.

Tip: keep the linked label to five or six words and the supplementary text to one short clause so the bar stays on a single line at all viewport sizes.
