About this block

Catch Up Digest is the returning-user summary: a card that counts everything accrued while away (27 events across 3 projects since Monday) and offers a single mark all read action in the header. Below it, each followed project gets its own block with a name, a total badge, two typed summary lines with icons for comments, edits, and closed tasks, an avatar cluster of the people involved, and a review action scoped to that project.

The digest is one typed array of projects, each holding its total, its summary lines, and the avatars to cluster. Reviewing a project is the unit of dismissal, so the footer can state plainly that a review marks its events read and drops it from the list.

When to use

Reach for this block on a first screen after a login gap, a weekly recap email rendered in-app, or a project follow feed, wired to the events you accrued since the user was last active. Wire each Review button to that project and Mark all read to clear the digest.

A natural flow around it on an Application Pro page:

Before

• App shell
• Stat cards

After

• Activity feed
• Notifications

What you can display

One strong use is the away-from-app catch up. Other grouped digests:

• Weekly recap. The same shape scoped to a seven day window with a send to email action beside mark all read.
• Team digest. Groups become teammates instead of projects, each with what they shipped this week.
• Watchlist. Rows track documents you follow, with the latest edit and open comment count per file.

Tip: keep each project to two summary lines; the digest earns its scan speed by staying a preview, not a full feed.
