About this block

Send Time Heatmap turns a timing benchmark into a picture readers can scan in a second. Seven days by six send slots, each cell a median open rate drawn as a theme colored square whose opacity carries the value, so the peak and the dead zones surface without a single label to read. The footnote names the exact peak and trough, and every cell title spells out its own day, slot, and rate for a closer look.

The grid is plain divs and theme tokens with no chart library, so it inherits your palette and stays dependency free. The rows array is the publication surface, and a small opacity function maps each rate onto the light to dark scale shown in the legend beneath.

When to use

Reach for this block in a benchmark report or a best time to send guide, where a heatmap answers the single most asked question in email marketing faster than any paragraph. It pairs naturally with a distribution or bar section above it, the bars rank the field and the heatmap tells readers exactly when to press send.

A natural flow around it on a Marketing Pro page:

Before

• Industry benchmark bars setting the overall performance context

After

• Percentile callouts naming the thresholds that matter
• Calculators letting readers model their own schedule

What you can display

One strong use is open rate by day and hour from your platform data. Other grids:

• Support load. Ticket volume by day and shift for a staffing benchmark.
• Traffic patterns. Sessions by weekday and hour to plan launch timing.
• Response time. Reply speed across the week, exposing the slow windows.

Tip: pick a slot resolution readers actually schedule around, six named times reads cleaner than a twenty four column wall of squares.
