About this block

Rank Yourself Slider turns a benchmark report into a mirror. The reader drags a slider to their own open rate and the block names their percentile band and delivers a plain verdict, computed live against the same cut points every chart in the report uses. A tick marked scale shows the median, quartile, and decile lines with the reader position riding between them, so the answer is felt as well as read.

It is a client component on ui/slider with theme tokens only. The bands array carries the editorial weight, each note reads as a next move rather than a score, and the shared thresholds keep the widget honest against the rest of the report.

When to use

Reach for this block as the interactive payoff of a benchmark report, after readers have seen the field in percentile-callouts and want to place themselves in it. The where am I moment is the engine of benchmark engagement, and a verdict tuned to sell your product is the cleanest bridge from data to conversion.

A natural flow around it on a Marketing Pro page:

Before

• Percentile callouts naming the thresholds before readers test themselves

After

• Calculators turning the band into a projected gain
• CTAs for readers who landed below the line they wanted

What you can display

One strong use is a self placement widget for a headline engagement metric. Other sliders:

• Cost check. Readers set their acquisition cost and see the quartile they sit in.
• Speed check. Support teams place their response time against the service tiers.
• Growth check. Founders test their growth rate against the stage bands.

Tip: write each band note as the next move, a reader who learns what to do next stays on the page longer than one who only learns a grade.
