About this block

Search No Results owns the typo instead of hiding it, the headline quotes back “watrproof tote” and names the likely cause, one letter. A single outline button offers the corrected search with its count already attached, 12 results, so the fix is one tap and the payoff is known before the tap. Below it three near misses explain themselves, each product paired with the word it almost hit, matched tote, matched waterproof in the materials list, so a dead end still reads like a shelf.

Near misses are one array your search engine can populate with partial matches. The footer report link steers restock and catalog decisions, spelled right and still empty means the gap is yours to close.

When to use

Reach for this block as the zero state of any search results page. The corrected query carrying its own count is the feature, a confident fix beats a blank apology with a reset button.

A natural flow around it on an Ecommerce Pro page:

Before

• Store navbar with the query typed

After

• The corrected results grid, product grids
• Restock sections for the patient route

What you can display

One strong use is the single typo recovery. Other dead ends:

• Zero synonym hits. The query is spelled right but off vocabulary, the near misses carry the bridge words.
• Out of range price. Nothing under the cap, the three closest just above it shown with why.
• Discontinued search. The exact item is gone, its successor named in the near miss list.

Tip: attaching the result count to the corrected query, 12 results, turns a guess into a promise, people tap a known payoff far more often than a blank retry.
