Notifications Empty State frames silence as a setting, not a bug, a muted bell sits above the headline this inbox is quiet on purpose. Rather than an empty list it shows the whole alert menu with live switches, price drops and restocks off until asked, order updates already on because they ride your first order, repair updates waiting on a bench job. Each row carries a plain note on exactly what the alert sends and how often, so turning one on is an informed choice.
Alert types are one array with an enabled flag your preference store owns. The footer clarifies that every alert also lands in email and points at the per channel settings, so the switches here are a starting point rather than the whole control.
Reach for this block as the notifications or alerts tab when the inbox is empty, inside the account sections area. The switches need a real preference backend or they should read as static examples.

Tip: listing the full alert menu instead of an empty inbox turns a dead screen into an onboarding step, people leave with alerts set rather than a shrug.
