Notification Defaults Step is the final screen of an onboarding flow, a single card that sets sensible alert defaults for the new user. Four channel rows each pair a title and an honest one-line description with a Switch: mentions and replies carries a Recommended badge and ships on, task assignments is on, watched-item status changes and product news are off. Below them an email digest block offers Daily, Weekly, or Off as pill buttons, with Daily preselected.
Channels and digest options are two small typed arrays, and each Switch reads its default from the row. The descriptions state the exact channel and cadence, in app, email, once a month, so the defaults feel deliberate rather than a wall of every possible toggle turned on.
Reach for this block as the last step of onboarding, wired to the signed-in user notification preferences. The footer is explicit that these defaults apply to the signed-in user only and that teammates pick their own on join, which keeps an admin from assuming they set policy for the whole workspace here.
A natural flow around it on an Application Pro page:

One strong use is the closing preferences step of setup. Other notification default variants:
Tip: stating the exact cadence next to each switch makes the defaults read as considered choices, not an opt out chore the user has to audit.
