About this block

Process Comparison sets two engagement timelines side by side: a typical studio process on the left and how I run a project on the right, five numbered steps each with timing labels. The typical column takes thirteen weeks to reach a handoff, mine takes seven, and a closing note concedes that a good studio runs tighter than the sketch.

Each column is one array of steps with name, timing, and detail fields, rendered by a shared column component. The distinctive choice is comparing processes rather than providers, so the argument is structural, not personal.

When to use

Reach for this block on a services or process page when prospective clients have sat through long agency timelines and want to know where the weeks go. The installer replaces both columns with a fair sketch of the usual process in their market and their own real one.

A natural flow around it on a Portfolio Pro page:

• Process steps

After

What you can display

One strong use is a freelance process against a studio process. Other timeline comparisons:

• Old process vs new. Show how your own engagement model improved after lessons learned.
• With discovery vs without. Argue for a discovery phase by showing the weeks it saves later.
• Retainer vs project. Compare the rhythm of ongoing work against a scoped engagement.

Tip: keep the typical column fair, if it reads as a strawman the whole comparison loses its force.
