About this block

By the Numbers compares five project metrics as paired horizontal bars: weeks from first call to handoff, weeks until visible design work, people between you and the designer, revision rounds, and how long a question waits for an answer. The typical engagement bar stays muted, mine is drawn in the primary accent, and every bar carries its value as plain text beside it.

Metrics are one array with a label, a caption, and a value pair, and bar widths are computed from the values so the proportions stay honest when the numbers change. The distinctive choice is measuring the difference instead of describing it.

When to use

Reach for this block on a services or process page when the pitch keeps coming back to speed and directness. The installer replaces the five metrics with numbers from their own projects and keeps the typical column fair.

A natural flow around it on a Portfolio Pro page:

• Process steps

After

What you can display

One strong use is a freelancer measuring their engagement model against a typical one. Other paired metrics:

• Before and after. A client's numbers before the engagement next to the numbers after it.
• Package sizes. The same metrics across a small and a large engagement to set expectations early.
• Year over year. How your own turnaround and process numbers improved between last year and now.

Tip: numbers persuade only while they stay believable. Round aggressively and cut any metric you could not defend on a call.
