A two column layout with a main article feed beside a sidebar of links. Use it for a blog home that mixes posts with categories and promos here.
Featured With Sidebar splits the blog index into two columns. The left column (spanning two thirds on desktop) holds a single featured article: a wide aspect-ratio cover image with a gradient overlay carrying the category badge, title, date, and read time printed in white directly on the photo. Below the image sits an author row with a circular avatar, name, and role, followed by a short excerpt and a "Read Full Article" button. The right column is a sidebar that lists shorter article cards, each showing a thumbnail, a category badge, a two-line title, and a date.
The sidebar list switches between Popular and Recent views. On desktop two tabs sit above the list; on mobile a dropdown replaces the tabs so the control stays usable on narrow screens. Both the featured post and the sidebar posts are independent data arrays, so you can swap any article, change the tab labels, or trim the list to fewer cards without affecting the layout.
Reach for this block when the blog home needs to do two jobs at once: spotlight the most important piece of writing and keep a running list of other posts within the same viewport. For a creative agency or studio it works especially well as the editorial anchor on a Work or Insights page, letting the team push one flagship case study or essay front and center while the sidebar keeps visitors moving through the archive. It suits any scenario where one article earns a larger platform than the rest but you do not want the remaining content to fall off the page.

One featured piece dominates the left column while the sidebar surfaces more of the archive. A few ways to fill the frame:
Tip: keep the featured excerpt to two or three sentences so the author row and button stay visible without scrolling on most viewports.
