Mini Pagination is a three-piece inline control. A left chevron button sits on the far left, a plain text counter in the center shows the current page and total (for example "2 / 8"), and a right chevron button closes the row on the right. Each button is a small square with a visible border, keeping the whole control compact and easy to tap.
The counter text and the total page count are independent of the controls themselves, so you can update the numbers to match whatever data set the control is navigating. The entire row is self-contained and narrow enough to sit inline next to other elements rather than taking up a full footer row.
Reach for this block when space is at a premium and a full numbered row would feel out of proportion. It works well in healthcare scheduling products where a compact row of appointment slots or patient results needs a next and previous control tucked beside a record count or a date label. The plain text counter makes the position in the set immediately clear without adding the visual weight of numbered buttons. Compared to Icon Only Pagination, this block tells the reader exactly where they are, which matters when the total count is meaningful to the task.
