About this block

Alt Text Review Queue lists five images the nightly scan flagged across Acme marketing and docs pages. Each row carries a thumbnail, the file name and page route, a state badge (alt missing, filename as alt, redundant wording, or likely decorative), the current alt attribute, and a suggested description, with Edit and Approve actions on the right. A header count separates how many are flagged from how many still need a real description.

Items are one typed array, and the summary count derives from it so the header never disagrees with the rows. The state config maps each flag to its label and badge variant, and decorative rows swap the Approve button for a mark decorative action with an empty alt suggestion.

Reach for this block on the accessibility or content operations page, wired to whatever your image audit reports. Suggestions should be drafted from surrounding page copy and always reviewed by a person before publishing.

What you can display

One strong use is the flagged image review queue. Other review shapes:

• Decorative sweep. Only the likely decorative images, confirming each ships with an empty alt.
• Filename cleanup. Assets whose alt still reads as a raw file name, batched for a rewrite.
• New upload check. Recently added images awaiting a first description before they publish.

Tip: keep decorative images on an empty alt with a presentation role so screen readers skip them rather than announcing a filename.
