About this block

Goals Progress Board tracks public targets against actuals. Four goal cards each pair the current value with the year end target, a progress bar, and a status badge that reads honestly, including the one goal the company is behind on. The lede sets the stakes, four targets were set in the January report and here is exactly where each one stands.

Built on the ui/progress and ui/badge primitives, each card is one object of title, actual, target, progress, status, and a detail line, so wiring live numbers is a data swap. The status variants map to the badge styles, on track, ahead, and behind, and the board keeps the behind card in view rather than quietly dropping it.

When to use

Reach for this block on an open metrics page after the charts have shown the trend, when the reader wants to know not just where the numbers are but where they are headed against a stated plan. A goal board turns transparency into accountability, published targets you never quietly edit are the strongest trust signal on the page.

A natural flow around it on a Marketing Pro page:

Before

• Open metrics charts showing the actuals these goals are measured against

After

• Newsletter offering the monthly progress update by email
• Footers closing the page

What you can display

One strong use is the yearly goal tracker of an open startup. Other boards:

• OKR status. Quarterly objectives with progress for an internal or public team page.
• Impact targets. The reach goals a nonprofit committed to, tracked against actuals.
• Reliability goals. Uptime and response targets for a status or trust center page.

Tip: keep the behind goal on the board, an honest miss earns more trust than a wall of green ever will.
