About this block

User Growth Line plots two truths on one axis. Active workspaces and paying customers run as two shadcn lines with a legend and tooltip, and the lede teaches the reading, the gap between the lines is the free tier doing its job. Two series make the story honest, usage without revenue is a hobby, revenue without usage is churn waiting.

Built on ui/chart: the data array and the two entry chartConfig are all there is to edit, and the grayscale chart tokens keep the lines on palette. The legend comes from ChartLegendContent so series names live in one place.

When to use

Reach for this block on open metrics pages beside mrr-growth-chart, revenue says how much, this says how many and how engaged. The two line format also suits any pair worth honest comparison, signups against activations, or invites against accepts. Keep both series the same cadence or the chart misleads.

A natural flow around it on a Marketing Pro page:

Before

• MRR chart carrying the revenue half of the story

After

• Churn charts completing the growth picture
• Open metrics table for the exact numbers

What you can display

One strong use is workspaces against paying customers. Other pairs:

• Signups and activations. The onboarding funnel as two lines, with the gap as opportunity.
• Free and paid seats. Seat counts by tier for a team product.
• Posts and active authors. Content against contributors for a community platform.

Tip: name the gap in the lede, two unexplained lines invite the wrong story, a named gap tells yours.
