Preferences Summary

About this block

Preferences Summary is a compact read-only ruled list of six personal settings: Theme (System, auto-switches at sunrise/sunset), Language (English, United States), Timezone (Europe / London, UTC+1 BST), Notification level (Mentions and approvals only), Date format (DD MMM YYYY), and Week starts on (Monday). Each row puts the label in a fixed 36 column column and the current value beside it, with a ghost Edit button on the right. An Edit all preferences button sits in the panel header.

Rows are one typed array. The footer note makes the scope clear: these settings apply only to your account, workspace-level defaults are managed by your admin.

Reach for this block as the at-a-glance summary widget on a profile or account overview page, linking out to the full settings panels for each category.

What you can display

One strong use is the personal settings overview card. Other summary panels:

• Workspace preferences. The same shape scoped to admin-controlled defaults instead of personal ones.

• Accessibility settings. Motion, contrast, and font size summarised in the same ruled form.

Tip: the fixed-width label column and ghost edit buttons keep the panel scannable without turning every row into a full edit form.
