Feature Gate Card is the locked feature placeholder, a card with a muted lock icon, the plan label Business plan above the feature name Custom audit log export, a one-line description of what the export does, a bullet list of four Business plan highlights including SAML SSO and Priority support with a 4-hour SLA, an Upgrade to Business button, and the plain note: Or ask an admin. They control the plan and can upgrade for the whole workspace.
Gate config is one typed object so the feature name, plan, and highlights stay co-located and the card is easy to swap for a different locked feature. The admin note is what separates a helpful gate from a nag wall.
Reach for this block wherever a feature would appear if unlocked, rendered in place of the feature rather than above it. Wire the upgrade button to your billing upgrade flow and pass the current plan to suppress the card when the plan requirement is already met.

Tip: listing what the plan includes rather than what it costs turns the gate into a feature preview; users forward it to the decision maker instead of dismissing it.
