First Project Empty State is the day one dashboard before any work exists: a dashed border panel centered on No projects yet, two actions (Create from scratch and Import from GitHub), and a numbered three step preview of what happens next: name the project and pick a region, install the SDK with one command, send your first event and watch it arrive live. A quiet footer link offers the sample project path: Explore a sample project with fake data, delete it any time and nothing else is touched.
Next steps are one array of strings. The sample project link carries the caveat inline so users do not have to ask whether fake data will persist or affect billing.
Reach for this block on the projects index route when the current workspace has zero projects, replacing it with the real project list the moment the first project is created. Wire the GitHub import path to your OAuth flow.
A natural flow around it on an Application Pro page:

After
One strong use is the zero state projects page. Other empty states:
Tip: the what happens next list converts the empty state from a dead end into a preview of the first five minutes, which is more useful than a lone create button.
