Whats New Panel is the in-app changelog panel, subtitled what shipped in Acme, newest first. The current version v2026.6.2 is pinned at the top in a tinted row with a Pin icon and a Current badge. Three release entries follow each with a dated badge and a single line: Feature on Jun 12, audit log export to CSV scoped to any date range; Improvement on Jun 9, search indexes new docs in seconds instead of minutes; Fix on Jun 5, uploads over 200 MB no longer stall in Safari. The footer is the editorial commitment, no marketing in this panel, releases only in the order they shipped.
Current version is a single object and releases are one array with kind, variant, date, and line. The footer promise is what keeps users trusting the panel over time.
Reach for this block inside a help menu or a What is new dropdown, wired to your releases endpoint ordered by shipped date descending. Pin the version that matches your deployed build so users always see the version they are actually running.
A natural flow around it on an Application Pro page:

One strong use is the in-app changelog panel in the help menu. Other release surfaces:
Tip: one line per release is the discipline that keeps this panel scannable, if an entry needs two sentences it belongs in the full changelog, not here.
