Unread Digest Card is the daily digest as an in-app card, titled While you were away and subtitled since yesterday, 18:00. Three grouped counts surface what changed: 7 mentions in 2 threads covering Q3 launch plan and Pricing page rewrite with an Open threads link, 1 approval waiting where Jordan Lee requested production database access on Jun 12 with a Review link, and the deploy that succeeded, acme-web v2026.6.2 went live at 21:34 with error rate flat since, with a View deploy link. The footer is the honest admission the card makes about itself: digests pause while you are active in the app and this card exists only because you were not.
Items are one array with icon, headline, detail, and action label. The footer line is what separates a useful digest from an anxiety tap.
Reach for this block on the dashboard home route, shown only when the session gap since last login exceeds your threshold, typically one hour or more. Wire each action to its deep link: thread view, approval queue, and deploy log.
A natural flow around it on an Application Pro page:

One strong use is the re-engagement card on the workspace home after a user returns from being away. Other digests:
Tip: the footer honesty earns trust, users who understand why the card exists are less likely to disable it.
