Priority Inbox List splits notifications into two labeled sections: Needs you (four items including Maya Chen mentioned you in Apollo onboarding copy review and Avery Stone assigned you to ACM-231) and FYI (three items: deploys, comments, replies). Each section shows a count badge, unread items carry a filled dot on the avatar, and @-mention rows get an AtSign icon in the trailing slot. The rules callout at the top explains the split in plain terms and links to the full ruleset.
Items live in two typed arrays, needsYouItems and fyiItems. The rules callout is what makes the triage model legible; without it every user eventually files a why is this not in Needs you ticket.
Reach for this block on a notifications panel or a dedicated inbox page, wired to your notification API and the rules that govern priority assignment. Wire unread counts to your read-state store and aria-current to the active item.
A natural flow around it on an Application Pro page:

Tip: the rules callout is a link, not a tooltip; linking to the full rule definition lets power users tune their notification model without filing a support ticket.
