Swimlane Board is the Apollo board in grid view: two horizontal lanes by assignee (Priya Nair and Marcus Kim) crossing three workflow columns (In Progress, Review, Done). Each lane opens with the assignee avatar and name on the left, then cards fill the column cells, for example Priya has Onboarding checklist v2 and Seat utilisation stat card in progress, and Stripe webhook v3 migration in review. Empty cells render a dashed placeholder so the grid shape stays legible.
Lanes are one array keyed by person with nested column buckets. The Done column reuses the same muted card treatment as the full board so visual language stays consistent across both views.
Reach for this block when workload distribution per person matters as much as workflow stage, typically on a team leads overview or a sprint retrospective view. Wire it to the same issues source as the standard board.

One strong use is the per-engineer sprint workload grid. Other swimlane configurations:
Tip: keep the lane label column narrow and let the card columns breathe; the grid reads fastest when the label is a signpost, not a panel.
