Welcome Back State greets a returning user whose workspace has moved on without them, a History icon paired with Welcome back, Maya and the line You were last here 18 days ago, then three dated change summaries: Riley Parker merged 4 pull requests on Jun 11, two new members joined on Jun 10, and the Analytics workspace hit general availability on Jun 9. A muted callout below the list says nothing was deleted and files, comments, and open issues are exactly as you left them.
Changes are one const array with date and summary fields. The reassurance line carries real weight: the absence of deletion confirmation is what lets a user trust the resume button.
Reach for this block as the workspace home surface for a user returning after more than a week away. Wire the changes array to your activity feed filtered to the gap window and the Resume button to the last open route.

Tip: the nothing was deleted line is not filler; it resolves the anxiety every returning user has before they dare click around.
