Onboarding Empty Dashboard renders the real dashboard frame before any data arrives. The KPI strip shows all four cards with their labels visible and values at 0 or 0%, each with a context line that explains the zero rather than hiding it: live within 5 minutes of your first event, counted from your first identify call. The chart panel draws its axis grid and date labels for Jun 7 through Jun 13 but holds a centered message: no events yet, this chart draws itself as data arrives. The third panel walks the three setup steps, including the install command npm install @acme/sdk in mono, and carries Open install guide and Send a test event buttons.
KPIs and setup steps are two arrays. The waiting state teaches the layout: users learn where Events today lives before the number appears, so the first real value lands in a familiar frame.
Reach for this block on the main dashboard for any new workspace with zero events, wired to your telemetry endpoint so the zero values flip to real data once the first event arrives and the block unmounts. Replace the axis labels with your actual date window.
A natural flow around it on an Application Pro page:

After
One strong use is the analytics dashboard before the first SDK event. Other onboarding empty dashboards:
Tip: show zeroed real values rather than skeleton loaders so the user reads the metric names and understands the layout before there is data to read.
