About this block

No Data Yet State is the panel shown on a freshly provisioned resource before any events arrive. A bordered illustration slot built from theme-token shapes sits above the Activity icon, the headline No events yet, and the explanation: events appear within minutes of your first API call. Make one request and this panel fills in automatically. Nothing is held in a queue. A primary Make your first API call button and an outline Read the quickstart link give both paths in one row.

The shapes array drives the inline SVG rows using foreground opacity tokens so the illustration adapts to light and dark without extra styles. The footer note covers retention: 30 days visible in the panel, older events still queryable via the API using date range filters.

When to use

Reach for this block in any resource list or feed that ships empty until the user takes an action, wired to the zero-count branch of your data fetch. Replace the button href and docs link with your real quickstart URL.

A natural flow around it on an Application Pro page:

Before

• App shell

After

• Activity feed
• Data table

What you can display

One strong use is the events feed before the first API call. Other empty states this shape fits:

• Integrations list. No connections yet with a Connect your first tool primary action.
• File manager. No files uploaded with an Upload files button and a drag-drop hint.
• Kanban board. No tasks created with a Create your first task call to action.

Tip: name the specific thing that fills the panel and say how fast it appears; a vague it will show up soon creates a support ticket every time.
