Stepped Area Chart shows active seat count across 10 provisioning events from Jan 3 through May 28, rendered with stepAfter so each change reads as an instantaneous jump rather than a gradual slope. The workspace grew from 12 seats to 38, with a single deprovisioning dip on Mar 22 dropping from 24 back to 22 before the next expansion.
Chart data is a flat array of date and seats pairs. The step type is what distinguishes seats from a metric that actually grows continuously; a smooth curve here would misrepresent how provisioning works.
Reach for this block on a billing or workspace growth page, wired to your provisioning event log. Pair it with the footnote so readers understand the x-axis marks events, not calendar intervals.
A natural flow around it on an Application Pro page:

One strong use is the seat growth timeline. Other stepped area charts:
Tip: label the x-axis as provisioning events, not dates, unless your events fall on regular intervals.
