Citations Panel is the sources side panel the assistant opens after a reply. Four ruled rows numbered [1] to [4]: Q2 Renewals Export, Support Ticket Index, ACM-8812 Billing discrepancy, and ACM-9041 Export timeout. Each row shows the document name in monospace, the matched passage in a blockquote, and a relevance chip, High for the first two and Medium for the tickets. The footer is precise: citations are the exact passages the answer drew from, not a reading list, and if a passage contradicts the answer the answer is wrong.
Sources is one array; the relevanceVariant helper maps High to secondary and anything else to outline. Quoting the actual matched snippet is what lets a sceptical user cross-check the answer without opening the source.
Reach for this block in a side drawer or below the conversation thread whenever the assistant reply cites sources. Wire source ids to the inline chips in the assistant chat panel so numbering stays in sync.
