Author Note centers a single column. A short heading sits above a bordered card written as a first person letter: three paragraphs on why the newsletter exists and what it honestly covers, signed with avatar art, a name, and a role. The labeled email form sits directly beneath, with a cadence note naming the send days and the current reader count.
The letter is plain markup, so the installer rewrites the three paragraphs and swaps the signature avatar for their own. Framing the ask as an invitation rather than a marketing section is the distinctive detail: the pitch reads in the author's voice, which is the product on offer.
Reach for this block on an about page or a dedicated newsletter page where a personal note fits the tone better than a stats band or a feature grid. The installer edits the three paragraphs, the signature, and the cadence note to match their own practice.
A natural flow around it on a Portfolio Pro page:

Tip: keep the letter specific and slightly unpolished; a real reason to subscribe reads more honestly than a line of copy engineered to convert.
