Newsletter Stats pairs the subscribe form with three proof figures in a two-column grid: 1,840 subscribers, 52% open rate, and 38 issues published, displayed as large tabular-nums values above small labels. The heading "Read by designers who ship" leads the left column, with the form and a note about why the open rate is high on the right. The stated open rate with an honest explanation ("the content is specific and useful") is the distinctive detail: it names the reason rather than just asserting the number.
The stats are one flat array so the installer updates all three values in one place without touching the layout.
Reach for this block on a homepage or newsletter landing page where the numbers are strong enough to do persuading work. The installer swaps the three stat values and the heading for their own newsletter specifics; a new newsletter with low counts should use Newsletter Signup instead.
A natural flow around it on a Portfolio Pro page:

One strong use is a proof-backed newsletter pitch with real audience numbers. Other configurations:
Tip: explain the open rate in one plain sentence rather than just displaying the number; readers know what inflates it and will discount a bare percentage.
