About this block

Refund Speed Tracker publishes measured refund speed next to the promise for every payment method. Each row pairs the window the store commits to with last quarter's median: store credit promised instantly and measured at 4 minutes, PayPal at 0.7 days against a 3 day promise, card refunds at 1.8 days, and bank transfer the slowest at 2.9 days. A bar on each row shows how little of the promised window the median actually used.

Methods are one array. The footer sources the medians from 9,340 refunds measured from the courier's first scan, not from the moment approve was clicked, which is the detail that turns the whole table from a claim into a measurement.

When to use

Reach for this block on a returns or help page where buyers hesitate because refund timing feels like a black box. The refund gains 10 percent if we miss the window line is a real commitment, only publish it with a policy behind it.

A natural flow around it on an Ecommerce Pro page:

What you can display

One strong use is the four method tracker for a direct to consumer store. Other speed trackers:

• Marketplace edition. The same rows split by who holds the money, platform balance against the seller's own payout schedule.
• Subscription edition. Refund speed measured from the cancellation click rather than a returned box.
• B2B edition. Median settlement time per term, net 30 invoices against card and credit note, for a trade account audience.

Tip: measuring from the courier's first scan instead of your own approval click is the choice that makes the median honest, name it or the number looks generous by accident.
