Checkout Extras Advice is a verdict table for the five add ons the store offers at checkout: a rain cover, a strap pad, a wax tin, a pouch set, and leather zip pulls. Each row names the item and its price, stamps a buy, skip, wait, or 30 only badge, and gives the honest reason behind the call. The footer card sources the verdicts to the return ledger, noting how many rain covers came back unopened against how few pouch sets did.
One typed array of extras drives the rows, each with a price, a badge variant, a verdict word, and a reason. The badges reuse the shadcn Badge variants, so each verdict takes its weight from the variant rather than custom styling.
Reach for this block right where the upsell lives, on the cart or checkout page, or inside a buying guide that wants to disarm the add on pitch. The percentages in the footer must track the real return ledger, since the whole point is that the store is talking a buyer out of its own upsells.

One strong use is the five add on verdict table with the return ledger. Other checkout advice editions:
Tip: printing the return rate under the verdicts turns the badges into data rather than opinion; a rain cover that comes back unopened most of the time makes the skip for you.
