About this block

Retired Products Rows is the archive of what the catalog stopped making, each item a row with its lifespan, units made, the honest reason it was pulled, and what owners kept. The discontinued list says more about a store than the bestsellers do, so this block shows the misses on the record.

Products are one array of name, life, reason, and aftercare, each row paired with placeholder imagery you swap for the real product shot. The aftercare line keeps the promise alive past the last sale.

When to use

Reach for this block on the brand story page when the products you retired, and why, build more trust than another grid of what is for sale. Every reason should be specific enough that a buyer believes it was written, not spun.

A natural flow around it on an Ecommerce Pro page:

Before

• Brand timeline

After

• Product grids
• Product care

What you can display

One strong use is four discontinued products with the real reason each was pulled. Other archives:

• The recipe archive. Flavors retired, and the ones that quietly return.
• The edition archive. Sold out prints kept on the record with run sizes.
• The service archive. Offerings you stopped selling and what replaced them.

Tip: name the mistake, the retired product you admit you got wrong earns more trust than the three beside it that sold.
