About this block

Price Error Apology Banner is a border-b band that owns a mispricing in the headline (the Weekender listed wrong on June 8) and promises that every order placed at the wrong price ships at that price. Below it, a three row timestamped account walks through what happened: the bad import, the customer flag, the correction, and the 23 confirmed orders.

The timeline is a small array of time and event pairs, so the account extends to as many rows as the incident needs. The honesty is structural: fixed timestamps and a hard order count make the apology checkable rather than a vague sorry, and the ship as placed promise removes any reason to cancel.

When to use

Reach for this block at the top of the store in the hours and days after a public mispricing, above the store navbar. Publish the full incident note it links to first, since the timeline here is the summary and the note carries the detail.

A natural flow around it on an Ecommerce Pro page:

Before

• Store navbar

After

• Store hero
• Resolution section

What you can display

One strong use is the honored mispricing timeline. Other apology banners:

• Cancelled orders. The error too large to honor, the refund plus a credit, the reason stated without excuse.
• Coupon fault. A code that overstacked, the orders kept as placed, the code corrected with the fix timestamped.
• Duplicate charge. The affected count, the reversal window, the reference to check a statement against.

Tip: fixed timestamps and a hard order count turn an apology into something a buyer can verify, which is what separates an honest note from a generic sorry.
