Payment Methods Update Banner is a slim border-b band on a
bg-muted/40 fill that announces the August 1 change in one
sentence and reassures in the next (saved cards,
subscriptions, and open orders are unaffected). A card icon
anchors the left and a link points to the full payment methods
list. A chip row on the right names the change at a glance: two
methods arriving with a plus, one retiring with a minus.
The changes come from a small array, so adding an arriving method or moving a retirement date is a single line. The chip row is the point: showing the two additions and the one removal as plain pills lets a buyer read the whole change without parsing the sentence, and the reassurance line stops it reading as a disruption.
Reach for this block in the weeks before a payment change, at the top of the store below the store navbar or above a checkout. The date it names must match the change on the payment settings, or a buyer who saved a retiring method is caught out at the till.
A natural flow around it on an Ecommerce Pro page:

One strong use is the two arriving and one retiring chip row. Other payment update variants:
Tip: keeping the reassurance line about saved cards in the same sentence as the change does more than any headline, because the buyer's first worry is answered before it forms.
