About this block

Series Chapter Index turns a multi part guide into a table of contents. An intro column with heading, lede, and author byline sits beside a divided list of numbered chapters, each with a one line description, a reading time, and a marker on the part the reader currently has open. It presents a body of writing as a finishable whole rather than scattered posts.

Chapters are an array of number, title, description, minutes, and a current flag, and setting current true on one entry surfaces the you are here marker and highlights its numeral. Five chapters reads well in the column. Write each description to promise something concrete, the record explained line by line, the two mistakes that reset the clock, rather than restating the title.

When to use

Reach for this block when you have published or plan to publish a real series, a handbook, a course, a multi part guide, and want a durable index that also works as a reading page. Naming the author and the total time signals the series is a considered work, not a content calendar. Use reading-list-cards for a loose collection, this block when the parts are meant to be read in order.

A natural flow around it on a Marketing Pro page:

Before

• Content openers introducing the subject the series covers

After

• Newsletter signups for readers who want the next chapter on release
• CTAs linking the first chapter to start the sequence

What you can display

One strong use is the chapter list of an educational handbook. Other indexes:

• Course outline. The modules of a free course with time estimates and the lesson in progress.
• Documentation guide. A curated reading path through docs, ordered rather than alphabetical.
• Report series. The parts of a multi section study, each with its own reading time.

Tip: keep the current flag accurate per page, the you are here marker is the detail that makes the index feel alive.
