About this block

Canvas Run Splits explains the surcharge on a commissioned color by showing the math instead of asserting it. The mill weaves nothing under 80 meters, so a two segment bar splits your bags from the numbered shelf run, three past runs list who commissioned each color and how fast it sold, and the surcharge credit is spelled out at the foot.

Data is a runs array mapped into a divided list, with the split drawn as two div bars in a bordered panel. The closing line that a $90 surcharge covers the unused meters and half comes back if the shelf run sells inside 60 days is what turns a fee into a shared cost.

When to use

Reach for this block after the made to measure explainer so the mill minimum lands once custom is understood as a real process. The bar percentages and the meter counts must add up or the honesty of the split is lost.

What you can display

One strong use is the mill minimum split with the past runs listed. Other run economics configurations:

• Dye lot split. The batch size drawn the same way, your order against the rest of the lot.
• Leather hide split. The panels your bag uses set against the yield of a full hide.
• Hardware run split. A minimum casting order shown as your count beside the shelf remainder.

Tip: crediting half the surcharge back when the shelf run sells is more convincing than dropping the fee, because it ties the refund to a real outcome.
