About this block

Subcategory Accordion renders the full aisle tree as a ruled accordion, each category row expanding into a columned grid of subcategory links, every one carrying a style count and a price floor. The first aisle ships open so the pattern reads at a glance, and the counts sit in the rows themselves, no imagery, theme tokens only.

Aisles are one array with their shelves nested inside. The from price on every shelf answers the budget question before a product page loads, and the shop all link at the foot of each panel hands off to the full listing.

When to use

Reach for this block on shop landing pages and category index pages where the catalog runs deep and shoppers want to scan the whole tree without clicking through. The category tiles grid covers the same directory job with imagery, this version wins when the taxonomy itself is the story.

A natural flow around it on an Ecommerce Pro page:

Before

• Store hero of any kind

After

• Product grids where each shelf lands
• Product finders

What you can display

One strong use is your full aisle tree with counts and floors. Other trees:

• Departments. Grocery aisles down to the shelf.
• Docs sections. Product areas down to the article.
• Service menu. Categories down to each bookable service.

Tip: keep the first aisle open, an expanded example teaches the pattern faster than any label above it.
