About this block

Elsewhere About is the public record about, a ruled list of talks, podcast appearances, essays, and teaching, each with a year, a format, a title, a venue, and one honest line of context. A conference talk on internal tools, a candid podcast hour on solo work, a widely shared essay on the handover, a twice yearly typography workshop, and a print interview on saying no. Adding the honest line under each entry is the distinctive choice: it turns a list of credits into a voice.

The appearances are one array of five objects rendered as a divided list inside a rounded border, with year and format aligned in narrow columns beside the title, venue, and note. A closing line about welcoming invitations sits below the list, so the section doubles as a soft call to book.

When to use

Reach for this block as the speaking, writing, or in public section of an about page, particularly for a practitioner whose reputation is built in the open. The installer swaps the five appearances for their own real record and edits the closing line to match how often they say yes.

A natural flow around it on a Portfolio Pro page:

What you can display

One strong use is the independent designer's talks and writing record. Other shapes:

• Speaker only. Filtered to conference talks with a video link column for a speaking page.
• Bibliography. Essays and interviews grouped by year for a writing-forward practice.
• Teaching log. Workshops and courses with seat counts and dates for someone who mostly teaches.

Tip: the honest note under each entry is what people remember; a bare list of titles reads like a resume.
