About this block

Vs Competitor puts your product next to the tools it replaces and lets six honest rows settle the argument. A centered header introduces the matchup, then two cards sit side by side: the Acme card carries a primary tinted ring, a small mark, and confident check rows, while the legacy card stays muted with minus icons and resigned phrasing. A pill CTA and a quiet migration guide link close the section.

Both cards render the same criteria array, so the rows always line up and adding a seventh criterion updates both sides at once. The card names, taglines, phrases, and the emphasis treatment are all independent, and the whole block is built from theme tokens with no external images.

When to use

Reach for this block when your buyers are not choosing between you and nothing, they are choosing between you and the way they work today. On a project management landing page it works hard late in the story, after features and proof, where a hesitant buyer needs to see the old way and the new way in the same frame before committing to a switch.

A natural flow around it on a Marketing Pro page:

Before

• Feature Sections so the check rows summarize claims the page has already shown
• Testimonials to lend the comparison credibility before it lands

After

• Pricing to catch the buyer the comparison just convinced
• FAQs to absorb the objections a switch always raises

What you can display

The obvious fit is your product against the legacy category. A few other ways to use the frame:

• Before and after. Contrast life without your product against life with it, keeping the same six criteria on both sides.
• Plan against plan. Show what upgrading unlocks by comparing your free tier with your paid tier row for row.
• Build against buy. Compare adopting your platform with maintaining an in house alternative for technical buyers.

Tip: keep the legacy phrases factual rather than mocking. A comparison that feels fair converts skeptics, while one that feels rigged loses them.
