Four fixed project constraints in a ruled list, each typed and explained by the mark it left on the design, with a candid closing note.

Constraints Case names the four fixed limits the project ran inside: no backend changes, six weeks to launch, the existing design system only, and one engineer at half time. Each limit carries a type tag (Technical, Timeline, Design, Team) and a note on the visible mark it left on the final design, and the section closes with a candid postscript on which constraint turned out to help most.
The constraints are one array, each a label, a type, and an effect paragraph. The honest closing line is the distinctive detail, admitting the design system limit felt like a straitjacket in week one and was the reason the date held in week six reads truer than pretending every constraint was welcome.
Reach for this block early in a case study, after the setup and before the process, to frame the work against what was actually fixed before you started. The installer swaps the four labels, type tags, effect notes, and the closing postscript for the real limits on their project.

One strong use is the product project shipped under a hard date and a thin team. Other constraint shapes:
Tip: end on the constraint that helped, not the one that hurt, a closing note that finds the gift in a limit is what separates this from a list of complaints.
