About this block

Curated Reading Path gives newcomers an order to read in. A headline and lede sit above five foundational posts arranged as a numbered path, each step riding a connecting rail with the title, a read time, and one line on why it matters. There are no dates anywhere, because the sequence is the point, not the recency.

The steps are one plain array, so reordering the path or dropping a sixth post in is a one line change. The rail draws between the numbered nodes and stops at the last, and the read times add up to the total the lede promises, so the commitment is stated plainly before anyone starts.

When to use

Reach for this block when a deep archive intimidates first time visitors and the feed buries the posts that should come first. A new reader who lands on your best essay still needs the groundwork under it, and a numbered path supplies that in the order you would teach it. Put it high on a blog home or an about the blog page.

A natural flow around it on a Marketing Pro page:

Before

• Hero sections introducing the blog before the reading path lays out where to begin

After

• Newsletter converting the reader who just committed to five posts
• Footers closing the page

What you can display

One strong use is the five essays every new reader should start with. Other paths:

• Onboarding curriculum. The docs a new customer reads first, ordered by what each one depends on.
• Course syllabus. Lessons as steps with durations, the path standing in for the outline.
• Getting started track. The setup posts a developer needs before the reference, laid out in order.

Tip: publish the running total in the lede, forty two minutes tells the reader exactly what they are agreeing to before step one.
