About this block

Pattern Changelog lays out every revision of the Field Tote pattern in a ruled timeline, each row led by a version chip, v1 through v5, with the year and a plain note on what changed and why: the strap anchor that got a bar tack after bag 2 tore off inside a month, the canvas that went from 8 oz to 18 oz, the zip swapped to the one the repair bench already stocks. Beside it a bordered panel lists what has never moved since 2015, the proportions, the pocket layout, the handle drop, the wax finish, each with its own date.

The revisions are one array, the unchanged parts another. The panel footer closes the argument: five revisions is the whole list, and the Field Tote you buy today keeps 90 percent of the first pattern.

When to use

Reach for this block on an archive or product heritage page, wherever the honest record of small fixes builds more trust than a claim of getting it right the first time. The version years and the never changed dates must reflect the real pattern history.

A natural flow around it on an Ecommerce Pro page:

Before

• First bag story

After

• Colorway index
• Product care sections

What you can display

One strong use is the eleven year bag pattern. Other product revision logs:

• Recipe revisions. A food brand versioning a formula with the batch each change landed in and what stayed fixed throughout.
• Hardware revisions. A maker logging every board or chassis change against the parts that carried over untouched.
• Edition changes. A publisher tracking what each printing corrected and which decisions have held since the first run.

Tip: writing down a quiet fix, even a bar tack nobody asked about, turns a change log into proof the pattern is still being watched.
