Year Archive Gallery groups work into bordered rows by year, newest first. Each row pairs a large year heading, a mono frame count, and a one line note on the left with a four image row of selects on the right. The notes name real years: 2026 as a commission year of studio sessions and editorial trips, 2025 given over to a coastal project, 2024 the year of the switch to film.
Years are one typed array, each with four images carrying a title and a series name. The layout uses a two column grid at medium width so the year block and the image row sit side by side, with a link to browse the full archive below.
Reach for this block as a chronological archive index on a photographer or artist portfolio, below a featured gallery or on a dedicated archive page. The installer swaps the Placeholder tiles for real selects and updates the years, counts, and notes.

One strong use is the photographer year by year archive. Other year grouped layouts:
Tip: the note beside each year does the real work; a specific line about what the year was about beats a generic summary of output.
