About this block

Spare Parts Attach Row offers the buckle ($6) and rain cover ($28) at the cart and then actively argues against the first one. The buckle note reads: “The buckle has a 2% failure rate over five years. Most people should not buy this, it exists for expeditions and pessimists.” The rain cover gets the same honest framing, waxed canvas handles ordinary rain, this is for monsoon season and laptops you cannot afford to gamble. A ghost button reads “Skip both and check out” and the footer publishes the 4% attach rate so the offer reads as a part for the few, not a margin line.

Spares are one array of two rows with thumbnail placeholders. The anti sell is the content, it converts the buyers who actually need the part.

When to use

Reach for this block as the final step before payment in the shopping cart flow. The failure rate and attach rate figures must come from real product data or the honesty inversion fails and the block becomes greenwash upsell.

A natural flow around it on an Ecommerce Pro page:

What you can display

One strong use is the buckle and rain cover attach with the anti sell. Other spare parts rows:

• Cables and adapters. The accessory that fails before the product, with real failure data published.
• Replacement insoles. For footwear, with the honest wear estimate and the skip clearly marked.
• Spare fasteners. Bolts or pins for assembled goods, the small-cost item most people pass on.

Tip: the attach rate published in the footer is the proof the offer is not a margin line; use the real number even when it is small, especially when it is small.
