About this block

Flaw Glossary defines the four words the seconds rail is allowed to use: wax bloom, weave slub, dye shade, and stitch wander. Each entry states the plain language definition, what is affected and what is not, then the severity line. Three read “Cosmetic” and the fourth reads “Cosmetic, but we understand if it bothers you,” which is the one honest qualification that makes the other three credible.

Entries are one array. The footer closes the controlled vocabulary: if a flaw does not fit one of the four words, the piece does not reach the rail.

When to use

Reach for this block directly below the seconds grid, anchored as the glossary the grid footer links to. The four word limit must match the actual flaw words used across the seconds inventory.

What you can display

One strong use is the controlled four word vocabulary. Other glossary configurations:

• Repair grades. The bench severity levels defined with the same plain language pattern.
• Resale grades. A to C with each letter defined in measurable terms, not vague adjectives.
• Condition codes. The warehouse shorthand translated into buyer language.

Tip: the severity line carries the credibility of the whole grid; three straight “Cosmetic” reads earn the right to one honest hedge on the fourth.
