About this block

Popular Searches Band publishes the week's real queries as chips with counts, search analytics turned into navigation. The first chip carries its full label, 1,240 searches, teaching the format, the rest run bare numbers. The footnote reads the data with personality, rewax trending in June means winter somewhere.

Searches are one array, updated nightly per the header promise. Live counts make the band a tiny piece of open metrics.

When to use

Reach for this block on the search page, help page, and the 404, anywhere a lost visitor benefits from knowing where everyone else went. Counts must be real, the band is checkable against your own search box.

A natural flow around it on an Ecommerce Pro page:

Before

• Empty search state or any dead end

After

• Search results page behind every chip

What you can display

One strong use is the weekly top eight. Other bands:

• Seasonal searches. The December set, gift heavy, kept as a snapshot.
• Rising searches. Week over week movers, the trend version.
• Searches we failed. Queries with zero results, published with fixes, the bravest band.

Tip: the searches we failed variant is the strongest trust play available in search, publishing your gaps with what you did about them.
