Ask an Owner QA presents three question and answer threads ruled between them. Two answers come from verified owners with years of ownership shown in a muted badge. The third is from staff, labeled with a prominent primary-color badge and the policy stated beside it: “We only step in when owners have not answered in a week.” The staff answer is about olive canvas fading and includes the honest admission of gentle lightening after a year of direct sun. The footer completes the honesty arc: “Answers are unedited, including the one above that recommends a competitor for the use case we do not fit.”
Threads are one array with a staff flag that controls the badge color. Publishing the competitor recommendation is the whole point of the block.
Reach for this block on any product page that has been live long enough to have real owner experience to draw on. The staff badge policy must reflect the actual routing logic in the questions inbox.
