Dispute Timeline Explainer dates what a payment dispute actually looks like from the moment the bank claws the money back: day 0 you are whole while everyone argues and we feel it the same day (that is the system working as designed), by day 10 we respond with the evidence, day 40 to 70 the bank decides. Below the timeline a two row table names which tool to reach for and when: a dispute when the charge is not yours or we have stopped answering, a refund request for everything we can fix because it reaches the same money in 2 to 4 days instead of 60 to 90.
Milestones are one array, tools are a second array for the table. The footnote links the chargeback record page where the 4 lost in 11 years figure lives.
Reach for this block on a dedicated chargeback or resolution page, paired with the chargeback honesty card. The day ranges must reflect your card network agreements; Visa and Mastercard differ by a few days.

Tip: “you are whole while everyone argues” is the line that converts the dispute from threat to tool; customers who understand the mechanics use the right one.
