About this block

Year of Wear Photo Log shows the same bag across twelve months, six Placeholder tiles labelled Month 1 through Month 12, each with a one line caption from the months array: the corners darken first (month 3), the strap has gone soft and sits flatter on the shoulder (month 7), and the close: the patina nobody can fake or rush. The lede is explicit about the method, no wax touch ups between shots, and the footer footnote records which months were skipped because nothing changed enough to show.

Months are one array. The decision to show only six of the twelve is stated honestly in the footer note, which is what separates a curated log from a gap.

When to use

Reach for this block in a journal article about long wear or aging canvas. The caption copy must be real, pulled from notes, otherwise the month labels become marketing rather than record.

A natural flow around it on an Ecommerce Pro page:

What you can display

One strong use is the twelve month canvas record. Other wear logs:

• Boot log. Six sole shots from new to resoleable, the wear pattern named each month.
• Waxed jacket. The sheen at month 1 and the dark patches at month 18, two images and a note.
• Denim. Fade lines named by the activity that made them.

Tip: naming the months where nothing changed is more honest than only showing the dramatic ones, and the footer footnote earns it.
