About this block

Journal Hero Feature gives the lead story magazine front page treatment, a wide image, the issue and reading time in mono, a standfirst that says what the piece actually covers, and a byline with provenance, photographs from the floor. The whole card is one link.

The standfirst discipline matters, what vegetable tanning involves and what the audit does not capture promises specifics, not vibes.

When to use

Reach for this block at the top of the journal index, one story enthroned per issue. Store journals earn readers by choosing, a front page with six equal stories is a feed, not an edit.

A natural flow around it on an Ecommerce Pro page:

Before

• Nothing, this opens the journal page

After

• Article list rows for the rest of the issue
• Journal topics index

What you can display

One strong use is the supply chain feature. Other leads:

• The repair story. A bench rescue told long.
• The owner profile. One customer's decade with the product.
• The making essay. A process piece with floor photography.

Tip: reading time in the kicker is a promise of substance, nine minutes says this was reported, not generated.
